Irma is a Music Supervisor based in London with over 10 years of experience in games, adverts, TV and film. Until February 2024, Irma worked at Frontier Developments as their in-house music supervisor where she worked on games such F1 manager and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin.
She began her music supervision career in 2014 at Earworm Music as an assistant Music Supervisor, where she worked on multiple films, adverts and documentaries, including the award-winning film American Honey.
Next to being a freelance Music Supervisor, Irma also joined the MTV Music & Media Licensing team in 2018 where she gained hands-on experience in blanket licenses and clearing music & images for broadcast while working on their shows such as The Official Charts and Making The Video.
In 2021 she joined Frontier Developments. In this position she broadened her knowledge and expertise by journeying into the video game world, curating quality music in games by working closely with composers, writing detailed music briefs and overseeing the overall music process from inception to completion including releasing soundtracks for these projects. A great personal achievement was being involved in creating the award winning F1 Manager launch trailer.
Irma has also spoke on panels at multiple conferences & workshops about Music Supervision and Sync across Europe including Ireland Music Week, Reeperbahn Festival and So Alive Festival.
“Irma brings a deep passion for music and a fun contagious energy to her sync and supervision work. She is enthusiastic, diligent and tenacious and will always strive to get the best deal for her clients. I would not hesitate to recommend her as an excellent music sync/supervision resource.”
“I worked with Irma for 2 years and she was an absolute pleasure on every level! Her knowledge of music is dazzling; she is innovative, creative and always helpful; her experience across different jobs and industries means she has a genuine and deep understanding of other people’s needs and concerns; and its all topped off by the fact she’s one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet!”
“Irma’s ability to connect the right musicians to our projects has been brilliant. We’ve always managed to get the tracks we required and within budget. Her network has been invaluable in that. She has a deep working knowledge of rules, regulation and licensing which helps save (and even bring in) money.
If you’re looking to cover all your music concerns with one person, Irma’s the one to look out for!”
“Irma is an extremely dedicated, thoughtful music supervisor whose work has been essential to our production. She possesses both astute professionalism and attentive flexibility, with very concrete understanding of varying goals, budgets, aesthetics, creative intentions. Her great talent will certainly be highly needed in a wide range of productions, from artist-driven to commercial, and everything in-between.”
“With a tiny budget she expediently and successfully found a fantastic array of songs that fit the mood of the film. I was so worried about our budget and that our music choices -there were quite a few songs I needed for the film- would feel tacky and compromised. Never did. I still listen to my Nocturnal soundtrack on my phone! Irma is gold.”
“Irma was part of the fantastic team that worked on the colossus that is the 2018 NME Awards. She was brought in to focus on what was in my opinion the absolutely hardest part of the entire campaign – rights clearances. There are just under 100 pieces of permissions that needed to be chased down and cleared in an extremely short time frame and the efficiency with which she handled the whole process from negotiation and contractual to reporting and admin (She loves a colour coded spreadsheet!) makes her a credit to her industry.
Creatively, her input was invaluable too as we needed her taste and musical knowledge on playlist selection and presenter music choice along strong communication skills as well as no-nonsense upwards management meant that 2018 was unquestionably the most succesful and stress free NME Awards campaign delivered thus far.”
“Working with Irma on our feature film was a great experience. She was professional, respectful, artistic, and knowledgeable during our entire time with her. This was our director’s debut film and Irma made her feel very comfortable while giving valuable insight into what we were trying to accomplish with the project and budget.”
